Micronesia
On the island of Yap we collaborated with the Yap Memorial Hospital to train local dental nurses as well as treat dental patients some of whom arrived via canoe from neighboring islands. On a more personal note, board member Marty Sperow got baptized in the ocean on Yap island! She chose that particular venue because she wanted to be baptized into a wild untamed faith that doesn’t forget the little islands.
